Leeds United always have kept one eye on the brightest talents around England to add to their academy.

The Whites raided League Two side Carlisle on a couple of occasions in the summer, bringing in both Liam McCarron and Josh Galloway.

Both have excelled for the under-18s and 23s respectively this season and will be looking to kick on even further in the next couple of years.

Carlisle boss Steven Pressley admitted that he was not happy to lose McCarron, but it was the deal for Galloway that particularly disappointed him.

"I wanted him to develop here and play football here, I felt that was the best line for his development," he said via the Yorkshire Evening Post.

"He wasn't in agreement with that. He was around us, that's why I'm disappointed.

"I don't understand the reasoning for it but I also understand the club's take, we have to protect our own interests."

We were at Tadcaster to watch the FA Cup Youth Cup fourth-round clash against Sheffield Wednesday - a game the under-18s won 5-4 on penalties.

Galloway impressed for Mark Jackson's side with his pace causing problems consistently. For him to improve, he will need to work on his efficiency in front of goal, but he is certainly on the right path at Thorp Arch, something Pressley seemed to question.
