‘You’ve got to be concerned after what Leeds United have done this season’ – Ally McCoist
Leeds United picked up their first away win of the season this weekend.
With seven points from the first five games, Leeds’ chances of avoiding relegation are looking far greater than they were at the start of the season.
Leeds’ 3-1 victory over Wolves saw them pick up their first three away points of the season, in what was a comfortable victory at Molineux.
All three of the newly-promoted teams picked up points once again this week, with Ally McCoist sharing his view on the relegation battle as things stand.

Leeds will be sparking fear in the Premier League
After five games, all three of the newly promoted sides are outside of the bottom three, and after Leeds’ win against Wolves and Sunderland’s draw against Aston Villa, both teams are well clear of the drop zone.
Wolves currently sit rock bottom, with several other established Premier League clubs lingering dangerously close to the bottom three.
After such a promising start to the season, many have backed Leeds to stay up, and McCoist thinks that there are several teams that should be concerned with the way the newly-promoted sides have started the season.
Live on talkSPORT on 22 September, he said: “You look at Leeds as well, Burnley picking up another point. You know, we might even be talking about two of them staying up.”
Jeff Stelling replied: “Well, I think if you’re a supporter of Wolves or West Ham, maybe even Brentford, then you are worried that all three of them might stay up.
“I think you’ve got to be concerned, particularly with the first two teams you’ve mentioned,” replied McCoist.
Leeds have found their saviour after Wolves win
Goals were the big concern for Leeds after the first four games, having found the net on just one occasion prior to the Wolves clash.
However, with Dominic Calvcert-Lewin and Noah Okafor both on the score sheet, some of those concerns have been subdued.
For Leeds, the key will be keeping Calvert-Lewin fit throughout the season, and they may face a similar challenge with Okafor after he limped off against Wolves.
With that said, if, and it’s a big if, they can achieve that, they have all of the tools needed to stay in the Premier League this season, and break the trend.
