'Wow' - Many Leeds fans react to Raphinha performance in late cameo v Wolves
Leeds United fans were impressed by what they saw from Raphinha in the 1-0 defeat to Wolves on Monday night as the Brazilian winger made his debut for the Whites.
Raphinha, 23, came off the bench to replace Jack Harrison in the 82nd minute and although his game-time was limited to no more than a late cameo at Elland Road, the newest addition to Marcelo Bielsa’s attack left fans with plenty to talk about.
Stats by WyScout show that Raphinha completed five of the eight passes he attempted, was accurate with one of his four crosses, had two touches inside the penalty area and even completed two recoveries in Wolves’ half of the pitch.
Although we would have liked to have seen Raphinha spend more time on the pitch and less time watching the game from the sidelines, the fact he played at all was a surprise given how long Bielsa likes to wait for new signings to settle down into their new club.
Raphinha, it seems, is being fast-tracked into the starting line-up and that could set off alarm bells for the likes of Helder Costa and Jack Harrison.
Both players have started the season very well but when there’s a new £17million player at the club, it’s only natural for the regular starters to start looking over their shoulders at the Brazilian speedster.
And it seems that some Leeds fans were very happy with the ex-Rennes man too. One even wants to see Bielsa drop Harrison in favour of him when he names his next starting line-up.

He came on for like 10 mins and looked absolutely insane. Costa and Harrison are in for some real competition. Can see him becoming a starter

We are right to feel aggrieved from that. However, looking back before the season started… what a start we’ve had! 10th place & showing we can mix it with the big guns.
Positives: Koch immense, Bill sensational, Meslier maqnifique, Rodrigo decent, Raphinha looks sharp. #LUFC
