Willy Gnonto leaves Thorp Arch ahead of 1st-team training amid Everton exit push, Luis Sinisterra also kept apart
Willy Gnonto and Luis Sinisterra “trained alone” and left Thorp Arch at 10am before the Leeds United first-team’s session in the afternoon, according to LUFCFANZONE.
The outlet, who Andrea Radrizzani previously showed have sources within the Whites set up, reported via Twitter Tuesday (15 August) that neither of the wantaway wingers had “returned or participated” in the session which began at 2.30pm after having worked “away from the squad” earlier in the day.
Both have apparently made themselves unavailable for Daniel Farke as they look to leave Leeds United, with Everton pushing to sign Gnonto after having multiple bids turned down.
The Toffees have already picked up Jack Harrison on loan but are still going after the Italian international, who missed the midweek win over Shrewsbury before he was joined by Sinisterra in being absent from the squad for the defeat at Birmingham on Saturday (12 August).
Messy
Currently it looks like either the two star attackers end up leaving for big money in the next fortnight or they will need to swallow their pride after 1 September and focus on getting back to the Premier League the old fashioned way.
It doesn’t seem like there are too many other alternatives at this stage, with Daniel Farke clearly in no mood to seek a middle ground, at least until the window is closed.
The German needs commitment at this point in the season and he is finding it increasingly hard to come by within his squad.

That might not come as the world’s biggest shock after Leeds United were relegated from the Premier League, but multiple stars heading for exits at the tail end of the window has left the manager’s plans in disarray and the mood among the fans poor.
Every time another key player leaves it likely has the knock-on effect of turning their ex-teammates’ heads to do the same, as it weakens the squad and their chances of promotion.
Max Wober’s move to Borussia Monchengladbach was the first of the really damaging departures just before the season began, and since the likes of Sinisterra, Harrison and Tyler Adams have similar relegation release clauses there isn’t much Leeds can do about it.
They do appear to be doing what they can with Gnonto, who doesn’t have an exit clause, but with Everton knocking at the door while he trains alone and doesn’t play in games it might be a matter of time there as well.
In other Leeds United news, a clarification has emerged on another Whites forward who the manager appeared to say wanted to leave as well.
