Willy Gnonto agent arrives in London to seal Leeds United exit, white smoke expected in hours

The agent of Leeds United star Willy Gnonto has arrived in London to seal the player’s move to Everton, according to Sportitalia.

The publication reported on its website on Wednesday (19 July) that the “definitive white smoke” is expected in the next few hours.

Gnonto only joined the Whites from FC Zurich last summer, with the teenager registering tallies of four goals and four assists in all competitions in his debut season.

“Wilfried Gnonto’s agent, Claudio Vigorelli, according to the latest Sportitalia rumours, is in London to define the ex-Inter attacker’s move from Leeds to Everton,” according to Sportitalia.

“Definitive white smoke expected in the next few hours.”

Exit close

Gnonto has been strongly linked with an exit from Elland Road for some time now, with several clubs seemingly in for the exciting attacker.

But the teenager watched on as several of his teammates left the West Yorkshire club, either permanently or on temporary deals.

The likes of Robin Koch, Marc Roca and Brenden Aaronson have all left on loan, with Rodrigo making a permanent exit.

And young winger Gnonto now looks set to be next out the door at Elland Road, with Premier League club Everton his destination.

The Toffees are set to get a very raw but very talented attacker, one that can undoubtedly take Sean Dyche’s club to the next level.

The Merseyside outfit have been crying out for a new forward, and their pursuit of Gnonto looks to now be finally paying off.

It’s a real loss for Leeds, but they should receive a substantial fee for the teenage Italian international.
