'Will not leave' – Guillem Balague claims Leeds-linked star player will not be moving today
Prominent Spanish journalist Guillem Balague has said “Valencia insist [Geoffrey] Kondogbia will not leave the club today” after the midfielder was linked with a move to Leeds United.
ESPN UK editor David Cartlidge had claimed that the midfielder was being “pushed out” of Valencia against the wishes of manager Javi Gracia.
He claimed Valencia desperately needed the money on deadline day and that Leeds were looking at him.
Movistar journalist Cristina Bea head earlier reported that Leeds would pay his £60k-a-week wages and a £13.5m fee for the player.

Can Leeds get a midfielder over the line?
Leeds want to bring in a midfielder before the end of the window. That’s the line from both Sky Sports and Phil Hay today.
While today is officially being called deadline day, Leeds can still sign players from the EFL until October 16.
However, when it comes to central midfielders, are there any in the Championship that would fit the bill?
Leeds had been linked with attacking players from the Championship – like Said Benrahma and Ollie Watkins – but no realistic central midfielder options.
It wouldn’t be a disaster if Leeds don’t sign anyone but there is more of a pressing need after it was revealed that Adam Forshaw had suffered a setback and wouldn’t play before November at the earliest.
He’s been out so long we wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t play again this year and that leaves Leeds short in the middle.
If anything happened to Mateusz Klich or Kalvin Phillips, Leeds would be in trouble and fans will be hoping Victor Orta can pull something out of the bag later on today.
