‘This is perfect’ – Some Leeds fans react as footage emerges of Lee Johnson pushing Whites star

Leeds United right-back Luke Ayling got reacquainted with his former team-mates at Bristol City on Saturday – and not only by simply scoring the winner against them.

Footage has emerged of Ayling, 28, trying to eavesdrop on Robins boss Lee Johnson talking to his players at the touchline while they were having a drinks break.

Once Johnson realised that Ayling was crouched over, hiding behind the away side’s players, he came over and pushed the defender out of the way.

Ayling appeared to walk away laughing, which suggests that what happened was all a bit of a laugh between the right-back and his former manager at Ashton Gate.

Leeds United Fan TV shared a clip of the incident via their YouTube channel.

Leeds fans have now been reacting to the footage on Twitter and luckily, there has not been a major overreaction and the majority seem to realise that it’s just a laugh and joke between a player and his old boss.

Here is a selection of their tweets:

We love this next tweet with a reference back to last season’s spygate.

What would have happened if Ayling tried this against Derby? There’s no doubt that the EFL would have issued a fine and write a new rule into the book!
