‘We’ve seen enough’ – Exclusive: Pundit predicts where Leeds will ‘definitely’ finish in PL
We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United…
Paul Robinson has said that Leeds United can “definitely” finish in the top 10 in the Premier League this season.
He claims the world has “seen enough” to know that Leeds can be a threat to any side, after thrilling games against Liverpool and Man City.
Leeds smashed Aston Villa 3-0 in their last league game, brushing aside the only team left with a 100% record in any of the four leagues in England.
Talking exclusively to MOT Leeds News Robinson said, “Absolutely. A top 10 finish is a very realistic target for Leeds.
“We’ve seen how they can play, we’ve seen how they coped against sides like Man City,
we’ve seen them play a thriller against Liverpool. We’ve seen enough to know they’re going to trouble teams this season.
“We’ve heard from other managers about how hard it is to play against Leeds. No team has gone to Anfield and dominated possession like that in a number of years.
“I’ve seen enough to think that Leeds can definitely finish in the top 10 and that would be a huge achievement for the club, the players and Marcelo Bielsa.”
Leeds play Leicester City next at Elland Road on Monday night, in a game that’s being shown on Sky Sports.
A win would see Leeds move above Brendan Rodgers’ side who are currently fifth in the Premier League.
