Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie has touched down in West Yorkshire to complete his move to Leeds United, according to Sky Sports Italy.
It is reported that the American international will complete his visits today [30 January] and finalise his medical before the deal is announced at Elland Road.
Leeds have managed to make the move an initial loan switch, before making the move permanent for £ 30.8 million if certain conditions are met.
Sharing news in their live blog [30 January, 07:59], Sky Sports Italy reported that visits were set to go ahead today to get everything finalised.
“McKennie has arrived in Leeds and will undergo his medical today,” they wrote.
“Juventus and Leeds have reached a verbal agreement for the transfer of the American midfielder to the Premier League: an expensive loan deal worth 1.5 million euros with the right to buy out at 35 million, which can become an obligation under certain conditions.”

Expensive.
Despite that fact, this is still a very smart move.
With the 49ers Enterprises set to complete their full takeover of the club from Andrea Radrizzani in the summer, they will have had to give the nod to green light this move.
That is because they will likely end up paying that “expensive” fee, with Radrizzani probably paying the initial loan fee, which looks like pennies compared.
But, Leeds will complete their midfield after years of struggling with square pegs in round holes.
McKennie will slot into that three perfectly alongside Tyler Adams, his near-lifelong friend and Marc Roca, with his attacking instincts welcome in the heart of the side.
Jesse Marsch can have no complaints and has now been fully backed with big signings this month, so he must start picking up wins or his job will be on the line.
Leeds have done the business off the pitch this month, now it is time to do it on the pitch as well.
