West Ham transfer news could give Leeds United boost in Sonny Perkins pursuit
Leeds United could’ve received a boost in their pursuit of West Ham youngster Sonny Perkins, as it was reported that the Hammers have joined the race to sign Chelsea striker Armando Broja.
The Daily Mail reported on Monday [6 June] that David Moyes has joined the race for the attacker and that could mean the Irons will be inclined to let Leeds United linked Perkins depart the London Stadium.
It was revealed by The Athletic [2 June], that the Whites are looking to add the 18-year old attacker to their ranks and they may well stand a better chance of bringing the youngster to Elland Road.

West Ham are looking to bolster their striking options this summer and with Broja potentially going to the London Stadium there may be less importance in keeping the England under-18 international.
Leeds should be looking to pursue a move for the versatile attacker and maintain their impressive array of young talent.
Perkins would join the likes of Joe Gelhardt and Lewis Bate in a thriving pool of young players that are featuring regularly at Elland Road.

If the Whites did land the West Ham youngster it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him feature for the first team on a regular basis.
Leeds’ tendency to look at younger players is a clever and sustainable recruitment model that deserves plenty of accolades.
These players are purchased for little to no transfer fees on low wages and can go on to become valuable assets at Elland Road.
It wouldn’t be a shock at all to see Leeds make a significant profit on Gelhardt in the coming years.
