We will be back soon – Radrizzani posts encouraging tweet in message to Leeds fans
Andrea Radrizzani has told Leeds United fans that football will be back “soon” in an Easter message to the club’s supporters.
Leeds fans have not seen their team play in over a month due to the coronavirus-enforced shutdown of football across the United Kingdom and the rest of the world.
It has left many doubts about whether the league-leading Whites will be able to continue with their push to win promotion to the Premier League with nine matches left to play in the Championship.
Radrizzani admits that times are hard at the moment but his encouraging tweet will instil some hope in supporters that it won’t be too long before the football is back and Marcelo Bielsa’s side can resume their bid to win promotion.
“Happy Easter (at home) to all Leeds fans. It’s a difficult time for everyone, stay strong and stay safe. Enjoy today, we will [be] back soon to celebrate goals at Elland Road all together with more pleasure and determination than ever to get what we want and deserve,” Radrizzani wrote via his personal Twitter account.
We hope that Radrizzani might know something that the rest of us do not. If anyone at Leeds is going to find out something first then it is bound to be the owner and other members of the club’s hierarchy.
The EFL sent a letter to clubs this week to show their plan to complete the season in a period of 56 days but without fans in the stadium.
Radrizzani has also suggested that fans will be able to attend Elland Road in order to watch their team play, which might say what he thinks about the EFL’s plan.
We would take playing behind closed doors just to get the job done but in an ideal world, it would be best for Elland Road to be packed to the rafters for the final matches of the season.
In other Leeds United news, Liam Cooper wants the club to sign this “unbelievable” player.
