Dave is a huge Leeds fan and ardent disciple of Bielsa ball. A career in print magazines that included editing PC Zone, launching PokerPlayer and redesigning The Big Issue has finally led Dave to writing about the love of his life, Leeds United. It’s been a tough 2020 but the single scariest moment was the first quarter of the game against Man City. Rodrigo will be the saviour this season.

Andrea Radrizzani has said that he is in talks with "several interested parties" about taking more investment in Leeds United.

He is said to currently value Leeds at £270m-£300m, with a bullish figure of £1bn mooted if he can take the club where he wants in the next five years.

Talking in an interview in SportsPro Radrizzani said, "Something that I always want to consider is if the partner is the right partner, [someone] I feel comfortable with, and that supports my vision, my strategy, and gives us the opportunity to continue our growth with more resources.

"We are having discussions with several interested parties. Some of these have been good friends for a long time and want to help me to reach my goal. When it’s the right moment and the right terms, we can progress with these discussions."

Radz the key to Leeds' future

We want to see more investment through Radrizzani as we're sure that he will use it to strengthen the team and attack the European places in the next few years.

We're also happy that he's looking for a partner that shares his vision, as opposed to a full takeover.

We think that Leeds are in very good hands at the moment and we don't want to see any of Radrizzani, Victor Orta, Angus Kinnear or (obviously) Marcelo Bielsa leave.

When Radrizzani talks of good friends being involved in the discussions, we assume that he's talking about the San Francisco 49ers, who already have a 10% stake in the club.

They've talked about looking to increase their stake and that seems like a perfect fit.

MOT Leeds News columnist Paul Robinson thinks they're a "perfect fit" for Leeds and offer so much more than money with their global business contacts and acumen.

Radrizzani said that he's not close to announcing new investment but we imagine that it will come before the next summer when Leeds will be looking to strengthen the squad again after their first full season in the Premier League.
