Leeds United: BBC pundit laughs at Edo Kayembe reaction to ‘frustrated’ Crysencio Summerville
Jon Newsome hit out at Watford midfielder Edo Kayembe for his reaction to a shove from Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville.
Summerville pushed Kayembe in the chest during the first half of the Championship clash at Vicarage Road on Friday (29 March).
The Watford player chucked himself to the ground, seemingly in an attempt to get his opponent sent off, but the referee was having none of it.
Speaking on BBC Radio Leeds [29 March, 20:08], former Whites defender Newsome said: “Crysencio Summerville was frustrated.
“Watford’s Edo Kayembe went down like a sack of potatoes. I wasn’t sure if Summerville had caught him in the throat or the face, but it was only in the chest there.”
Leeds United frustrated by Watford at Vicarage Road
Firstly, Summerville should not have retaliated by putting his hands on Kayembe as you can never be too sure what a referee will do.
On this occasion, the man in the middle thankfully saw that Kayembe’s reaction was way over the top.
The Watford player threw himself to the ground in a theatrical and rather comical manner, almost as if he had been punched in the face.

While this piece of playacting did not work, Watford did manage to do a number on their counterparts for the majority of the match.
Summerville ultimately had the final say in his battle with Kayembe as he scored a quite sensational strike in the first half.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given many of the players’ international exploits over the past week, it just was not to be for the Whites as they were held 2-2.
