Victor Orta works on new striker as Leeds United set to sign Marc Roca from Bayern Munich
Victor Orta is reportedly working on signing a new striker as Leeds United look set to sign Marc Roca from Bayern Munich.
According to the Daily Mirror, the Leeds director of football has started working ahead of time in order to secure their fourth signing of the summer.
Given Patrick Bamford’s injury that kept him out for most of the season, the Whites struggled for goals and do not want to repeat the same mistake in the 2022/23 campaign.
Who could it be?
Leeds haven’t been linked to a wide range of strikers this summer as the priorities were to sign midfielders and full-backs which has now been done.
They have moved quickly to officially confirm two deals and another one in Roca should be made official in the coming days.

MLS striker Valentin Castellanos has been a name that’s mentioned of late, with Leeds supposedly showing a serious interest in him.
Eurosport journalist Dean Jones even told Give Me Sport that the Whites were leading the race to secure his services.
“He’s highly thought of and has been scouted by a lot of clubs,” he said.
“Man City are not going for him at this stage, but I think they would have had first option on him, so they’re opening up to other Premier League clubs, and right now, Leeds are the frontrunners.”
As things stand, he seems to be at the top Leeds’ shortlist but that could change with agents making the club aware of the availability of their clients.
In other Leeds United news, the quest to seal another major signing takes fresh twist amid significant recent development.
