Victor Orta will already be planning January transfer window for Leeds United amid Chelsea links
Victor Orta will already be planning for the January transfer window at Leeds United as his future remains in doubt, according to Tim Thornton.
It has been reported that Chelsea have the Spaniard on their list as they look for a new Sporting Director, with interviews and talks being readied for next week [Mirror].
Sky Sports journalist, Thornton, admitted that Orta remains a central figure at Elland Road though, and his philosophy will be in place for the next window already.

Speaking to GIVE ME SPORT in his latest interview for the site, Thornton admitted that all thoughts will be on one thing at Elland Road.
“There’s a philosophy at Leeds and Victor’s very much a central figure in that, so he’ll already be planning for the next transfer window,” he wrote.
“That’s the way that he works.”

No chance.
Orta has certainly been hot and cold during his time at Leeds, but this is the worst possible time to start chopping and changing staff behind the scenes.
Andrea Radrizzani still has majority control with Orta and Angus Kinnear alongside him, with the 49ers closing in on that full takeover before 2024.
That is the right time to start making moves if these types of exits are to happen, with the Americans having their own plans in place likely, with their own staff and boardroom figures.
Orta will have plans in place for January with PSV Eindhoven star Cody Gakpo probably high on that despite missing out in the summer making it unlikely in the future now.
No matter what you think of Orta and his work during his time at the club, allowing Chelsea to make their move would surely be something we regret, and that can’t be on the table right now.
