Victor Orta holds talks with Javi Gracia to become next Leeds United manager

Victor Orta has reportedly held discussions with former Watford manager Javi Gracia to succeed Jesse Marsch at Leeds United.

According to 90 Min [20 February], along with Gracia, Rafa Benitez is also being considered by the Whites, but they have only touched base with the former yet.

After the loss against Everton, there were extensive meetings held at Elland Road and the plan now is to appoint a permanent manager.

Decision soon?

Leeds have spoken to a number of managers over the past few weeks and it’s not been good news coming out from those talks.

Most of those who they’ve spoken to have turned them down while there was major fans backlash when the likes of Alfred Schreuder were being considered.

Leeds want their new man in for the game against Southampton on Saturday, 25 February, so they do not have long left.

He would ideally require some time with the players to get his message across and then only will be ready to take charge of the senior side.

Hopefully, by Wednesday all’s done and announced so that there are two full days before the game at Elland Road and if there’s a new manager in by the time, it’s certainly going to be a different atmosphere there.
