‘Very exciting’ – Sky pundit thrilled as Leeds close to signing player likened to Man Utd legend

Sky Sports pundit Michael Bridge has said that he thinks the prospect of Michael Cuisance moving to Leeds United is “very exciting.”

Leeds have been linked strongly with a move for the Bayern Munich midfielder, with Sky Sports journalist Fabrizio Romano saying personal terms have already been agreed on a five-year deal.

Athletic journalist Phil Hay said “all sides” were open to the deal.

On Good Morning Transfers (Monday, 10am), Sky Sports said they’d been in contact with Leeds this morning who had said they wouldn’t comment on any transfer speculation.

Pundit Michael Bridge was very effusive about the deal, saying, “Can I just say first, what a lovely name.

“Speaking to someone in Germany, he was in a midfield log jam at Bayern Munich last season. At just 21 he’s still got time to develop.

“My contact in Germany said, ‘Think of Michael Carrick. Good vision, good technique, and someone who can spot a pass’. Very exciting.”

Cuisance winning the plaudits

Bridge is impressed and thinks Cuisance could be a real player. That’s the view of the Leeds researcher for Football Manager.

Seb Wassell said that Cuisance is “good. He could be VERY good.”

Wassell compared him to Rodrigo De Paul and said he would fit the Pablo-shaped hole that Leeds have at the moment.

He ended by saying, “All about this one.”

MOT Leeds News sister stats site, All Stats Aren’t We, are also hot on Cuisance.

They put out a tweet saying, “Oh man! Cuisance is [fire emoji].”

21, affordable (the fee is said to be around £18m) and able to cover for Hernandez, Mateusz Klich and Kalvin Phillips. This one is sounding better and better.
