Valencia set for Jesus Vazquez crunch talks as left-back looks to quit amid Leeds United transfer development

Valencia are set to hold crunch talks with Jesus Vazquez over his future amid interest from Leeds United, as reported by ElDesmarque Valencia.

The report shares that the Whites have recently joined the bid to sign the 19-year-old left-back, along with several Italian and Spanish clubs.

The player wants to succeed at Valencia, but at the same time, he is ready to move elsewhere, either on loan or on a permanent deal to play regularly.

The youngster expects that the club will consider his transfer (if necessary) after Valencia’s trip to Singapore. The player was hurt by the lack of game time this season and he now wants to join a project where he can get regular games.

The teenager has a contract at the club until 2025, and he has a massive £34.9 million release clause. But there’s another clause in his contract that allows him to leave on loan in January if he doesn’t manage a certain amount of game time.

The left-back area has been a problem for countless years now, and the Whites’ transfer policy has been baffling when it comes to bolstering this department.

It looks clear to everyone that along with signing a striker, the club desperately needs to add a left-back, but the club appears to take a blind eye approach to it.

The club allowed Leif Davis to leave permanently in the summer and didn’t sign any replacement. Junior Firpo once again has struggled for form and fitness, while Stuart Dallas remains a long-term absentee.

Firpo has proved to be a massive flop at the club, and he needs to be replaced. Pascal Struijk has fared relatively well, but he is not a natural full-back.

The Valencia youngster is one of the rising talents in Spain. He has featured four times for Los Che this campaign, after making 14 appearances for them last term.

However, he wants first-team football, and Leeds must capitalize on his contract situation. It’s strange that he doesn’t play regularly at the Spanish club given his talent.

Victor Orta should now know what to do next with him. Get the deal done in January.
