USA legend Eric Wynalda urges Tyler Adams to seal big-money transfer away from Leeds United

Victor Orta and Jesse Marsch will clearly be on edge as a United States footballing legend has tipped Tyler Adams to leave Leeds United.

The 23-year-old performed valiantly at the World Cup in Qatar as his side went down fighting in the Round of 16 against the Netherlands.

Adams was particularly given credit for his performance against England as well as his press conference answer to an Iranian journalist.

However, Adams could have his head turned after what Eric Wynalda told Vegas Insider in a recent YouTube interview.

The former USMNT player is a well respected figure in America and has represented them in three different World Cup finals.

He said, “I know I said he’s not ready for a big move but I’ve changed my mind. I’ve changed my attitude towards that.

“Sometimes a World Cup really brings out the character and shows you what the man is about. He’s been a leader and if you’ve seen his press conferences they’ve been phenomenal. Nothing fazed him.

“If a move is on the horizon for him it should be a bigger club. Italy would be a great spot for him. Mainly for his defensive abilities. If you look at his skillset it’s reading the game, making tackles, he has an engine.”

We’re hoping that Adams does not get swayed away by all the plaudits as he certainly is playing up to a level that the top Champions League sides will want to sign him.

Any transfer this summer at least, would involve a huge fee, but there is a suggestion that nobody at Leeds would want to lose one of their best players.

He’s only moved to Elland Road a few months ago and we have not seen his best in Leeds colours yet as he’s still adapting to life in the Premier League.

However, it’s important that Marsch and Orta sit down and have a chat with him because they need to keep him at all costs.

In other Leeds United, 36 scouts recently showed up to watch multiple Leeds sensations with as many as four exits on the cards in the January transfer window.
