‘Unbelievable’ – Some Leeds fans rave about U23s ace showing ‘shades of Chris Wood’ in 5-0 win

Leeds United fans have been raving about Ryan Edmondson for his latest performance for the Under-23s side on Sunday.

Edmondson, 18, scored twice as Carlos Coberan’s side won 5-0 against Hull at Thorp Arch in the Premier League Professional Development League Group North.

The teenage striker is someone who fans have had an eye on for some time now as he is one of the more highly-rated youngsters on the books at Elland Road.

However Marcelo Bielsa is yet to take a serious look at Edmondson by only handing him one senior appearance during his time in charge at the Yorkshire club.

That could soon change though as Patrick Bamford has been left as the only out-and-out striker in the Leeds senior squad due to Eddie Nketiah’s loan deal being terminated by Arsenal.

Leeds play against the Gunners in the FA Cup on Monday and while Bielsa has already confirmed that Bamford is going to start, the fact that Edmondson started for the Under-23s on Sunday suggests that he is still not going to be in the squad at the Emirates.

That is a shame, especially for these Leeds fans who are waxing lyrical about the teenager and some even want to see him in the first-team.
