Tyler Adams set to fly into the UK in next 24 hours for Leeds United medical
Tyler Adams will reportedly fly into the United Kingdom in the next 24 hours in order to complete his Leeds United medical.
According to ESPN journalist Tom Hamilton, the RB Leipzig midfielder is set to become the Whites’ fourth signing of the summer.
He will move to Elland Road for a deal worth £20million including add-ons and will be part of their pre-season as well.
Via his Twitter account, Hamilton wrote, “Tyler Adams is set to join Leeds on a deal worth £20m complete with add-ons. He’ll fly to the UK in the next 24 hours for his medical with the deal to be announced soon after.”
Adams is a player who’s been on the club’s radar for a while and it looks like Victor Orta has finally got his man.
The Kalvin Phillips deperature was announced on Monday (July 4) and on the same day news of his replacement flying into England for his medical has emerged.
After Marc Roca, he becomes the second central midfield signing of the summer and we do not expect to see any more players in that position unless a first-team player leaves.
Leeds must now look to sign a wide and centre forward and possibly rope in another left-back as well.
Junior Firpo struggled in his first season in England the club cannot keep relying on Stuart Dallas who himself is injured and a midfielder by trade.
Leif Davis may stay on for cover but he’s not the sort of player one would want in the playing eleven too often and a quality Firpo alternative must be prioritised before the season begins.
In other Leeds United news, the club have now opened talks with an ‘Incredible’ title-winning central midfielder to replace Kalvin Phillips.
