Tyler Adams raves about Chelsea's Christian Pulisic amid Leeds United links

Christian Pulisic is “unbelievable” and “super talented” according to Leeds United midfielder and USMNT teammate Tyler Adams.

The pair started the Americans’ opening World Cup game against Wales on Monday night (21 November), with the Chelsea attacker assisting Tim Weah for the opening goal while Adams wore the captain’s armband.

Pulisic has been linked with a move to Elland Road, with CBS journalist Ben Jacobs telling GIVEMESPORT on 1 October that it was a “possibility” that the £58million signing from Borussia Dortmund could join Leeds United, and his international colleague would clearly be delighted if that happened.

“He is an unbelievable player,” the midfielder said after the 1-1 Wales draw, via the Daily Mail.

“What you saw on the goal, he is probably the only player on the field that can set that play up.

“That is a glimpse of what he can do. He is super talented and he is going to be a huge integral part for us moving forward.”

Unsettled

Pulisic has shown he has plenty of ability since he arrived in Engand, but since shining at Stamford Bridge during Project Restart under Frank Lampard he has flattered to deceive too often.

His assist in Qatar on Monday was a reminder of what he can do, despite struggling to make an impact across 18 appearances in all competitions this season with the Blues.

He has only completed 90 minutes once from those games, in the Carabao Cup, and was believed to be keen on an exit in the summer.

The American influence at Elland Road strong, with Adams and Brenden Aaronson regular starters, and Jesse Marsch in charge.

With the 49ers expected to take full control of the club at some point within the next 18 months there would clearly be an interest in bringing the US golden boy to West Yorkshire as well.

But it wouldn’t be a cheap operation considering what Chelsea paid for him, even if he is surely not worth as much based on his form over the past couple of seasons.

Pulisic, Adams, and likely Aaronson, will all be threats to England on Friday (25 November), and the US captain would certainly be interested in the trio linking up at club level based on his most recent comments.

In other Leeds United news, Marsch’s could be sacked once the 49ers take control of the club.
