Tyler Adams missed Fulham v Leeds United due to injury

Tyler Adams was left out of the squad due to injury as Fulham inflicted another Premier League defeat on Leeds United.

The Yorkshire Evening Post’s Joe Donnohue has revealed (via Twitter, 23 October) the 23-year-old has a “minor muscle injury”.

Despite six changes to the side, Jesse Marsch’s side couldn’t prevent a fourth Premier League defeat on the spin to leave Leeds in the relegation zone.

Bold from Marsch

Adams not being included in the matchday squad would certainly have raised a few eyebrows. If it wasn’t an injury keeping him out of the eleven then it would’ve been bold from Marsch.

The defeat on Sunday has left the American in the firing line of the Elland Road faithful, with his side running out of steam yet again. Considering the amount of money that was invested into the squad over the summer, the Whites should’ve had a more impressive points total.

Marsch certainly comes across well in the media, but his record at Leeds is well below what fans and the board would have been expecting at this point in the season.

If Leeds can pick up a few points to keep Marsch afloat before the World Cup then he could stand a chance of turning the 2022/23 campaign into a more successful one.

The 49-year-old simply cannot afford many more poor performances, with a relegation battle now looking like the most outcome for the remainder of the season.

In other Leeds United news, a Sky Sports pundit has delivered Jesse Marsch’s “sack” verdict after what he heard this month.
