Tyler Adams’ Leeds United exit to be confirmed soon as five-year Bournemouth contract agreed, says Fabrizio Romano

Tyler Adams has almost completed his move from Leeds United to Bournemouth, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Italian journalist provided the update via Twitter (18 August), late on Friday that Adams had passed his medical and signed a five-year deal to become a new Bournemouth player.

The 24-year-old is set to join the Cherries in a deal worth £23million, which also includes £1million in add-ons (Sky Sports News, 18 August, 8:39 pm).

Goodbye

With the transfer now as good as official, supporters will have to get ready for life at Elland Road without the United States international midfielder. Adams arrived in West Yorkshire from Reb Bull Leipzig just last summer in a deal worth £20million, coming in as a replacement for Kalvin Phillips (Sky Sports News, 7 July 2022).

In the end, his time with Leeds wouldn’t last long as he now leaves the club after just one season, although he certainly provided a good account for himself. He was one of the brighter sparks in the side who were relegated and was unfortunate to miss a big chunk of the season due to injury.

Leeds United

That injury seemed to have no harm on his medical on the South Coast with the player now set to make an instant return to the Premier League.

With the transfer saga over, Daniel Farke’s focus can now switch back to the task of promotion which he has at hand.

In other Leeds United news, the club are already looking to move for Adams’ replacement.
