Transfer preference of Azzedine Ounahi shared amid Leeds United and Napoli links

Morocco’s World Cup star Azzedine Ounahi reportedly prefers a move to Italy amid interest from Leeds United, Leicester City and Napoli.

According to Calciomercato, the situation has stalled for Napoli as Angers are continuing to demand over the odds for the Morocco World Cup star.

In addition to that, Leeds are now “expected” to make a move for the 22-year-old with Leicester also keeping tabs on the situation.

Via Twitter, Calciomercato wrote, “Napoli are keen as Ounahi wants a move to Italy, even if for now Angers does not lower the claims: even Leicester and Leeds want to sign the player the player.”

Battle heats up

Leeds clearly appear to be a better financial situation than Napoli to make this deal happen so we’re keeping our eyes on this one.

They surely can convince him to move if they promise him game time and a decent salary hike – both of which are given.

If Napoli do not meet Angers’ demands, he will not be allowed to move to Italy, leaving Leeds and Leicester as his only other options.

Given how badly Leicester are faring, Leeds are surely the better option for him and it remains to be seen what he ends up doing.

Hopefully, Napoli bow out of the race, but this is their first realistic chance in years to win the title and they’re likely to want to spend as much as they can to ensure that they get their hands on the championship.

In other Leeds United news, Fabrizio Romano has dropped a major update on World Cup star Azzedinie Ounahi’s potential January move to Elland Road.
