Tottenham Hotspur handed fresh injury blow for Leeds United Premier League clash

Tottenham Hotspur will be without defender Cristian Romero for the Premier League clash against Leeds United next week.

According to the Evening Standard on 3 November, the Argentina defender will not be returning to domestic action until after the World Cup.

Spurs have a bit of an injury crisis with Richarlison, Dejan Kulusevski and Son all expected to miss the game against Leeds.

There for the taking

Spurs have not looked at their best over the past few weeks and Leeds should be confident going into the game.

Antonio Conte’s side have struggled to control games and have only played on the counter attack, relying on their attacking players to bail them out.

However, with their three attackers missing along with their best defender, they’re not in ideal condition going into this game.

Leeds, who are riding high on the win against Liverpool over the weekend, will be in positive spirits for this game.

Jesse Marsch has to approach it the same way as he did against Jurgen Klopp’s men and we will not be surprised if Leeds get something out of it.

Hopefully, the Whites pick up some important points before the Premier League takes a break for the World Cup as Marsch is fighting for his job and if he’s close to or in the relegation zone, it’s going to be hard for him to make a justification.

In other Leeds United news, a Sky Sports pundit has delivered Jesse Marsch’s “sack” verdict after what he heard last month.
