Tottenham could be without Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg for Leeds United clash
Leeds United travel to face Tottenham Hotspur when Premier League action resumes this weekend, and Antonio Conte could be dealt a massive blow.
The Italian manager oversaw his first league game in charge of Spurs heading into the international break, and midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg sustained a knock in the goalless draw with Everton.
According to Football.London’s journalist Alasdair Gold, the club are sweating over the fitness of the Danish international ahead of Leeds visit.
He said during a Q and A session: “As for Hojbjerg, it’s the injury he picked up before the break, thanks to the tackle from Mason Holgate, that saw the Everton man sent off.
“He was due to miss Denmark’s match against the Faroe Islands but they were hopeful before that match that he might be ok to face Scotland, which is why he still joined up with the squad.
“However, he has now been ruled out of the second game as well. Hopefully it’s precautionary as Denmark have already qualified for the World Cup as Tottenham will not want to be without him and the suspended Oliver Skipp.”

Huge blow
Hojbjerg is the only outfield player who has featured in all Premier League minutes of the campaign for Tottenham so far this term, and being without such an influential player will definitely be a cause of worry for Conte.
Leeds want to leave North London with a win, and their chances can be boosted if the hosts are without the midfielder.
With how both teams play, winning the midfield battle is crucial for anyone who wants to pick up all three points, and a Spurs midfield without Hojbjerg and Skipp is a very weak one.
All things being equal, Marcelo Bielsa will have Kalvin Phillips and Adam Forshaw available, and both can make a victory possible.
Leeds will still have to deal with Harry Kane, Son Heung-Min and co, and also find a way to score at the other end, but they could be handed a boost if one of the North Londoners’ most important players is unavailable for selection.
The Whites are in search of their third win of the campaign ahead of matchday 12, and leaving the capital with all three points on Sunday will be huge.
