Tony Pulis considered for Leeds United job as Javi Gracia sack talk goes into overdrive
Tony Pulis has been considered a managerial option for Leeds United with Javi Gracia set to be sacked at Elland Road, according to talkSPORT.
However, it’s believed that Sam Allardyce is “primed” to make a return to management and take charge of the Whites for their remaining Premier League fixtures (talkSPORT, 2 May).
Welshman Pulis, along with former Leeds midfielder Lee Bowyer have been considered as caretaker options by the board. The club are expected to sack Gracia on Tuesday, with Victor Orta also fighting for his job.

Beyond belief
What is going on at Leeds is beyond belief. The board are solely responsible for the mess which is currently engulfing the club. Sacking Gracia is the right call but it should never have reached this point. The Spaniad’s short-term deal was clearly the wrong choice, with the players disinterested and downing tools.
Their next move is one of desperation, but it’s needed. With four matches remaining, including two of the top three teams, the Whites are staring Championship football directly in the face.

Orta’s position has also reached an untenable position at present. There’s no way the sporting director can survive this. The appointment of Jesse Marsch was farcical. Recruitment has been poor and the hunt for a new manager was laughable.
If Allardyce can save Leeds from relegation, he will go down as a club legend, even if his tenure only last four games.
