Tim Sherwood shares Leeds United wish in ‘huge’ admission
Tim Sherwood has shared his desire for Leeds United after they took a step closer to the Premier League on Monday.
The Whites welcomed Stoke City to Elland Road on 21 April and secured a 6-0 victory thanks to four from Joel Piroe and strikes from Junior Firpo and Wilfried Gnonto.
This sent Daniel Farke’s side on their way to an easy victory against the Potters on a day where a win could confirm promotion from the second tier.
With that in mind, Sherwood has shared his wish for the upcoming campaign with Premier League football in mind in LS11.

Sherwood shares Leeds United transfer wish
There is no doubt that it has been a positive season in West Yorkshire, regardless of a slight stumble in recent weeks.
This doesn’t look like it is going to have a negative impact with the Whites and their desire of promotion thanks to the win against Mark Robbins’ outfit.
A quick-fire brace from Piroe sent Leeds on their way to secure an easy victory in the end, which was exactly what the doctor ordered.
This now has the Elland Road faithful dreaming of the Premier League, a division which has been difficult for newly promoted sides for many years.
With that in mind, Sherwood shared his wish for the Whites to have a busy summer window to help aid their survival bid in the top tier.
Speaking live on Sky Sports News (21 April, 2:29pm), he said: “I, for one, am very pleased that they’re coming to the Premier League.
“We miss them in the Premier League. We like to see huge teams in the Premier League.
“I just hope they can spend money and put up a better show of staying in the league than the teams that came up this year.”

Leeds United have tough task in Premier League
There is no doubt that the Premier League is the ultimate ambition for any side in the Championship, regardless of its difficulty.
Last season, Southampton, Leicester City and Ipswich Town were superb and ultimately subjected Farke’s side to another year in the second tier.
This trio now occupy the bottom three and look set to be relegated at the first time of asking.
Position | Club | Games played | Goal difference | Points |
18. | Ipswich Town | 33 | -38 | 21 |
19. | Leicester City | 33 | -46 | 18 |
20. | Southampton | 33 | -54 | 11 |
Leeds can’t allow this to happen and will have to be active in the transfer market to help aid their efforts to remain in the division.
This won’t necessarily be easy with the loss of Angus Kinnear, but with the squad already at his disposal, Farke can’t go too far wrong, it seems.
