Tim Sherwood gushes over Leeds United fans and Javi Gracia in Premier League relegation battle
Tim Sherwood has been full of praise for the Leeds United fans and Javi Gracia and fancies them to stay up in the Premier League.
The former Premier League winner admits to praying for them to retain their status in the top flight for next season.
Currently, the Whites sit in 14th place after they beat Wolves 4-2 at Molineux on Saturday, 18 March.
Ahead of the game, Sherwood featured on Premier League Productions and said at 12:25 pm, “I’ve been to Elland Road and them Leeds fans are incredible. I think Gracia will keep them up by a narrow margin. I hope and pray that they stay in the league because I love Leeds. He is a good manager and has proven it at Watford.”
Elland Road key to safety?
Leeds have picked up 17 points from their 13 home games this season and just nine from 14 matches on the road.

Their away record is the 16th worst in the league and it was actually the joint-worst before they managed to pick up three points against Wolves.
It clearly has shown that the fans being there in numbers and cheering the side on has had a positive impact on getting the team over the line.
Leeds have freak away results like they did at Anfield against Liverpool, but it’s the home form Gracia will be banking on.
After the international break, they’ve got Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace at Elland Road in the first two of the three games.
If they manage to win both of those games, we do not see them getting relegated from the Premier League as it’ll take them to 32 points, leaving them with plenty of wiggle room going into the business end of the campaign.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites may have yet another injury concern going into the international break as player has trouble with his left ankle after the Wolves win.
