Tim Sherwood delivers verdict on Bielsa future and Leeds United relegation

Tim Sherwood doubles down on his claims that Marcelo Bielsa is set to leave Leeds United at the end of the season.

In the aftermath of the 3-3 draw against Aston Villa on Wednesday night, the Sky Sports pundit believed that the Argentine is in his final few months at Elland Road.

However, he believes that it will be on his terms as he will do his job of keeping Leeds in the Premier League.

Speaking in Premier League Productions’ post-match show, Sherwood said, “I believe they’ll get enough points to stay up. Bielsa will have done his job before he leaves at the end of the season. I’m sure of that.”

Going?

With Bielsa, it’s always hard to predict what’s going on in his mind as he’s always so focused on the next game.

His contracts also leave everything up in the air as he just signs one-year deals at Elland Road.

Unlike last season when there was the confidence he will stay, we’re not seeing the same this time around.

The likes of Angus Kinnear and Victor Orta have been non-committal about the Argentine, which may suggest that he’s on his way out.

Hopefully, someone convinces him to extend for at least another year and the 49ers may be the right ones to do that.

They could promise him a transfer kitty that he wasn’t given this summer and he would be able to rope in the names he’s been wanting for the last two years.
