This is what Daniel Farke really thinks about Facundo Buonanotte at Leeds United

Leeds United had a quiet winter transfer window as they continue to battle financial struggles.

Daniel Farke’s side are on the limit of profit and sustainability rules, so they were forced to be careful with what they spent over the past month.

There is no doubt that Leeds would’ve wanted to get more players through the door, given they are currently in a fierce Premier League relegation battle, six points clear of the bottom three.

The Whites did manage to get one signing over the line, though, and Farke is clearly excited about what he will bring to Elland Road.

Facundo Buonanotte adds ‘something different’ to Leeds

Leeds brought in Facundo Buonanotte on loan from Brighton in the middle of January, in order to add some creativity to their ranks.

It was their only senior signing of the winter transfer window, as Leonard Ngenge has joined up with the academy following his move from Nigerian outfit Remo Stars FC.

Buonanotte spent the first half of the season on loan at Chelsea, before being recalled by the Seagulls and allowed to complete a switch to Elland Road.

According to The Athletic, the Argentine pushed to end his time at Stamford Bridge early to ensure he could join Leeds after rejecting the West Yorkshire outfit last summer.

Sources from inside the club also say that Farke is a big fan of Buonanotte, and is sure that he will bring something different in the last few months of the season.

How can Facundo Buonanotte help Leeds?

Buonanotte clearly has bags of potential, but he has struggled at times over the past few years after bursting onto the scene at Brighton.

The 21-year-old has a wand of a left foot and can create goals out of nothing, which should help Farke’s side in their relegation battle.

He came off the bench to make his debut in Leeds’ 1-1 draw with Everton, and was given 20 minutes at the end as the West Yorkshire outfit were smashed 4-0 by Arsenal on Saturday afternoon.

If the attacking midfielder can get a run of games under his belt, there is no reason why he can’t be a key figure in the Whites’ push for survival.

That all starts against Nottingham Forest on Friday, and a big impact in that one could go a long way to making a name for himself at Elland Road already.
