Leeds United attacker Tyler Roberts is confused by the number of different plans he has heard for completing the currently-suspended.
Leeds players are eagerly awaiting news on how they will be able to finish off the job of winning promotion back to the Premier League.
Before football was halted in March due to coronavirus, Leeds were on a five-match winning streak that saw them move top of the Championship table and seven points clear of third.
Roberts had proven key in that run of wins and the Wales international is chomping at the bit to get back out on the pitch and help Leeds complete their mission.
When asked if he has been keeping an eye on all the speculation surrounding the state of the 2019/20 season, Roberts told Leeds’ official website: “To be fair, I’m not sure about the rest of the lads, but for me I was following it a lot from the start, then as it got more towards the middle of where we are now, it’s just confusing.
“One person will say this, another will say that, and they’ll contradict each other.
“I know there’s a big meeting on Sunday, so that’s all I’m focused on.”
It is no surprise that Roberts is confused because it seems like every day or so there is a new development, a new plan or a new pundit or key figure within the game making big statements.
Will Leeds’ season be voided? Will promotion be awarded to them? Will they be allowed promotion by the Premier League? Will they be able to finish off the season at neutral venues or at Elland Road? There are so many questions that must be buzzing around players’ heads right now.
