Jermaine Beckford has backed Leeds United to pick up all three points against Leicester City on Monday evening.
The Whites welcome Brendan Rodgers’ side to West Yorkshire looking for consecutive wins after the thrashing of Aston Villa last week.
Beckford has predicted that his former side will win 3-1, advising them to watch out for the dangerous Foxes counter-attack.
Speaking to LUTV, Beckford was confident in how the game will play out at Elland Road on Monday evening.
“I would say, 3-1 Leeds,” he said.
“I want to say 3-0, but I think the way Leicester play, they will catch us out once on the counter-attack, but I think we’ll have a bit too much on them going forward for them to deal with for the whole 90 minutes.
“I’m going to say Patrick two, Costa one.”
Patrick Bamford will be full of confidence heading into this one after his first hattrick for the club against Villa last time out.
The 27-year-old will also know that finding the back of the net in his next two games will put him in strong consideration for the England squad.
Beckford is also right to point out the threat of Leicester on the counter-attack though, something they used perfectly against Arsenal.
The Foxes have been better away from home this season, beating the Gunners and Manchester City already.
In their 1-0 win at Arsenal, Leicester had less possession, fewer shots on goal and fewer chances according to WhoScored, but still stole all three points – something Leeds must be wary of.
