‘They get angry’ – Leeds ace details what he does to wind people up playing away from home

Gjanni Alisoki delivered a lengthy Q&A on the official Leeds United site on Monday night.

The Leeds livewire talked about how he was keeping himself occupied during the lockdown (PlayStation and Netflix) and who he’d like to be quarantined with (someone who could play FIFA with him).

Aside from his football, Alioski is best known for his antics around Elland Road but he revealed a hidden talent when he revealed he could speak seven different languages.

Alisoki speaks German, Italian, English, Albanian, Macedonian, (a bit of) Spanish and French.

That’s impressive but perhaps not as impressive as his habit of shaking tunnels when he plays away from home.

Asked about this he said, “I like it because you make the security nervous and they get angry. I enjoy this when I see they’re angry.

“When I see my teammates liked it I thought I need to do this. I don’t need to do it but I did it last year and when we won I thought I needed to do this again.”

That’s our boy.

Alioski has inspired his own Twitter account – GJANNIcam – which in its own words posts “Out of context videos of the lord GJANNI ALIOSKI”.

One shows the angry reaction to Pontus Jansson after the former defender apparently whispers something in his ear.

Alioski was asked about this and said “He didn’t say anything! He just hit me in the back.”

Alisoki has played at left-back and in midfield this season and although he hasn’t been a mainstay, he’s made 18 starts and provided an invaluable contribution with four goals and three assists.

He’s also entertained the players and fans off the pitch, and we’d love to see him get a shot at shaking some tunnels in the Premier League next season.
