‘There is one man’ – Angus Kinnear dedicates promotion to single Leeds figure

Angus Kinnear has dedicated Leeds United and their promotion to chairman Andrea Radrizzani this season.

The Whites’ director of football stated that the Italian believes in the future of the club and making them a force in the Premier League in years to come.

Leeds finally ended their 16-year absence from the Premier League this season, cruising to their first title in 28 years in West Yorkshire.

Kinnear dedicated the success to Radrizzani, claiming he is the main reason that Leeds have managed promotion.

“Finally, there is one man who we’ve heard from but who hasn’t been mentioned,” he said via LUTV.

“That’s Andrea. After years of what we would be best described as mediocre ownership, we have someone who is a leader, a custodian, he believes in the future of the club in the long term.

“We’re all here and we’ve all achieved because of his commitment – both financially and personally.”

Just looking at the time that has passed since Leeds’ last relegation from the Premier League will highlight some of the negligence suffered at the hands of poor ownership.

To name just a couple, Ken Bates and Massimo Cellino nearly tore the club apart with their mismanagement and that was something that Radrizzani had to fix when taking charge.

Since then, Radrizzani has bought back Elland Road, completed plans for a new training ground and taken Leeds back to the Premier League – round of applause, please.

Based on Kinnear’s comments too, he isn’t stopping there and it will be fascinating to see what Leeds can achieve under his watchful eye.
