The Athletic predicts early Man Utd team news with key trio set to start v Leeds
Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood and Anthony Martial are all predicted to start for Manchester United against Leeds on Sunday.
According to The Athletic, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to stick with a similar line-up that beat Sheffield United on Thursday night.
The Old Trafford outfit currently have Edinson Cavani sidelined with a muscle injury, while the striker is also expected to receive a three-match ban following his Instagram post last month.
Cavani has impressed since joining the club and his absence has given Solskjaer a conundrum to solve.
Pace in attack could worry Leeds
On their day, all three players could cause major problems to the Leeds backline.
This time around, it could be the night for Rashford, who will come into the game off the back of a fantastic performance against Sheffield United.
It might be the job of Stuart Dallas to contain the England star, who scored two very well taken goals at Brammall Lane last time out.
One of Leeds’ biggest weaknesses this season has been defending attacks from wide areas and as injuries continue to trouble the Whites at the back, there could once again be a makeshift defence on show at Old Trafford.
The Whites will need to be wary of United’s preference of attacking down their left. Of all their attacks against Sheffield United, 42% came from the left flank. Meanwhile, 15 goals have either come from open play or a counter attack.
It promises to be an open and frenetic match up between two of the Premier League’s historic rivals. With the two sides conceding a combined 43 goals this season, a boring 0-0 seems unlikely.
