TalkSPORT pundit reacts at Harry Maguire-Jack Harrison footage from Leeds United v Manchester United
Jim Proudfoot has labelled Manchester United defender Harry Maguire “embarrassing” as footage emerges from the Leeds United game.
Maguire ended up winning the game 2-0, but he was robbed off the ball by Jack Harrison who appeared to be clean through on goal.
However, the defender recovered and prevented the Leeds attacker from having a shot on goal.
Speaking on the Premier League world feed (12/02, 14:35), Proudfoot, a talkSPORT commentator, said, “Now Harrison embarrassing Maguire. He’ll have to consider himself fortunate for getting away with that. A horrible moment for Maguire.”
Should’ve capitalised
Harrison had a relatively quiet game and this was certainly his highlight from it and he should’ve done more with this chance.
Maguire is one of the least confident defenders on the ball in the Premier League and the Leeds forward closed him down perfectly to put him under pressure.
A goal from this effort would’ve changed the game completely and Leeds would go into the second half with more positivity.

They certainly deserved to get something from the game but were not clinical enough and that’ll certainly frustrate the players and the coaches.
Hopefully, the new manager is appointed sooner rather than later as the players will also be on edge due to the lack of clarity over what’s going to happen.
There were plenty of positives from this one and all that’s needed is for a capable striker to put the ball into the back of the net.
