Takumi Minamino agent jets into Europe as Liverpool exit edges closer with Leeds United interested
Takumi Minamino’s Liverpool exit is edging closer with Leeds United boss Jesse Marsch “keen” to link back up with the Japan international, as revealed by This is Anfield.
David Lynch from the Liverpool news website has reported [8 June] that the 27-year-old’s agent has jetted into Europe for talks with a host of clubs.
He has suggested that Leeds along with Southampton, Wolves, Fulham and Monaco are the interested parties.

The website also suggested that Liverpool are hoping for around £17million for the attacker who was the Reds’ topscorer in domestic cup competitions in the 2021-22 season.
A lot of money
Minamino is clearly a talented player and has scored goals for Liverpool and Southampton whilst he was on loan at St Mary’s, however, £17million for a player who hasn’t been a massive hit at Anfield is a bit steep.
Furthermore, the Japan international is 27 and is beyond the stage where he can develop.
His relationship with Marsch could maybe be a factor in this deal with the American’s early transfer business making it abundantly clear that he wants to work with players he has previously had experience with.
If the Japan attacker did make the move to Elland Road there is always a chance that he will find some sort of form with Marsch clearly rating him.

Leeds have to be smart regarding this transfer and not pay over the odds for the Liverpool man.
It is a risky signing because it is a large fee and there is a strong chance that he continues his fairly average form.
If Leeds can haggle Liverpool down to around £13million then that would be a more reasonable deal.
Minamino is entering the final two years of his deal and his value will only decrease from here.
He joined Liverpool for £7.65million so any profit on that fee for Jurgen Klopp would be a bonus.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites are set to be blown out of the water for this signing.
