Swiss Ramble share if Leeds United guilty of breaking Premier League rules
Swiss Ramble have shared the Leeds United accounts to show they are not guilty of breaching any Premier League rules.
The Whites, along with relegation candidates Burnley, have asked the Premier League to intervene and check if Everton are guilty of breaking the Profit and Sustainability rules.
When it comes to Leeds themselves, they’re in no real danger of breaking these rules.
Via their official Twitter handle, Swiss Ramble wrote, “LUFC are also well within the P&S limit after making allowable deductions and considering COVID impact (only £31m). It was much tighter the previous season in the Championship, but Leeds were just about OK after deducting promotion bonus and adjusting for 13th month expenses.”
Good books
While everything might be going haywire at Leeds, at least their accounts make for good reading.
FFP and P&S rules are not something that the fans must worry themselves about.
It remains to be seen what the Premier League does in the case of Everton as relegation is a big deal for both the Whites as well as Burnley.
If Everton are bending the rules in their favour then they certainly must be reprimanded for it.
What the punishments are, we’re unaware of as something like this has never happened in the Premier League before.
The authorities now have big decisions to make but the chances of the Toffees being handed a points deduction this late in the season are very bleak.
