Supercomputer predicts where Leeds will finish in Premier League

Leeds United are in a slump of form, losing three of their last four games in the Premier League.

It’s just a blip, though, according to top prediction site FiveThirtyEight.

They think that Leeds will finish 11th in the league and stay well clear of getting sucked in and around the bottom three.

They predict Leeds will finish on 49 points, which would see us taking 14 points from our remaining 12 games.

Man City are predicted to romp the league, while the other two promoted clubs, West Brom and Fulham will go straight back down.

A few Leeds fans are getting worried about getting sucked into the bottom reaches of the Premier League but we think that can only be put down to years of psychological torment.

FiveThirtyEight have Fulham going down on 36 points, just one point more than Leeds currently have.

One more win would put us on 38 points, a total that’s been good enough for survival in all but one of the last 10 seasons.

Leeds aren’t going down. However, weaknesses in the squad have been exposed and talk of flying into the European spots has died down.

That’s a good thing. Leeds will strengthen in the summer but the squad still won’t be deep enough to fight in the Premier League and in the Europa League on Thursdays.

Wolves were hailed as a model for Leeds to follow, but they’ve really struggled this season. FiveThirtyEight have Leeds finishing above them in the league.

Leeds need to walk before we run. And as far as that goes, this season has been perfect so far.
