Supercomputer makes new Leeds relegation prediction after West Ham’s win vs Burnley
Leeds beat Nottingham Forest 3-1 at Elland Road on Friday to ease their relegation concerns under Daniel Farke.
Jayden Bogle opened the scoring before Noah Okafor made it 2-0 in the 30th minute as the Whites produced one of their best performances of the season.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin guided the ball past Stefan Ortega with his chest to make it 3-0 at the start of the second half, and although Lorenzo Lucca scored a consolation goal for the visitors, the game never looked in doubt for Leeds.
Ilia Gruev was absolutely sensational, while James Justin thrived playing at centre-back in the clash at Elland Road.
Leeds’ win over Forest saw them go nine points clear of the relegation zone, although West Ham’s 2-0 win over Burnley on Saturday has reduced the gap back to six points.

Where are Leeds predicted to finish in the Premier League?
The Whites have only lost two league games since the start of December, and if it weren’t for West Ham’s revival under Nuno Espirito Santo, they would be well clear of the drop zone.
The Hammers are maintaining the pace with both Leeds and Forest, and virtually condemned Burnley to their fate by defeating them in a convincing manner at Turf Moor.
Leeds were given a 9.8 per cent chance of going down before Friday’s match, but they have done themselves the world of good by beating their relegation rivals
According to Opta, the Yorkshire giants have now reduced their chances of being relegated to 6.36 per cent.
| Premier League | Predicted finish | Predicted points | Relegation chances |
| Leeds United | 16th | 44 | 6.36% |
| Nottingham Forest | 17th | 42 | 15.86% |
| West Ham | 18th | 36 | 72.40% |
| Burnley | 19th | 26 | 99.62% |
| Wolves | 20th | 19 | 100% |
Farke’s side are expected to finish on 44 points in 16th place, which is an incredibly respectable return from a newly promoted team.
Daniel Farke deserves his flowers for overseeing Leeds’ turnaround
A lot of credit should go to the players for stepping up during one of the busiest periods of the season.
However, Farke should take the majority of the praise for overseeing the team’s rapid rise in form.
In the summer transfer window, the Whites had the sixth-lowest spend of any Premier League team at £98million.
In the winter transfer window, Leeds’ only first-team signing was the addition of Facundo Buonanotte on loan from Chelsea, and Farke is doing very well to set his team up in a competitive manner given the lack of investment.
The 3-5-2 system is working wonders, and Elland Road has been a fortress throughout the season, which has massively benefitted the players.
Farke may have been under pressure in November, but it’s now clearer than ever that he is the right man to lead the Whites towards Premier League safety.
