Super Computer predicts final Leeds Premier League position after huge win v Spurs
Leeds United are predicted to finish in the top half of the Prmeier League at the end of the season, after an impressive 3-1 victory at home to Tottenham Hotspur.
After failing to assert their influence in the Brighton game, the Whites looked like a rejuvenated side against Tottenham on Saturday.
The players seemed hungrier, more energised and enjoyed some exceptionally good spells in possession, which led to them scoring three goals.
This saw Leeds temporarily move into 9th, but after Arsenal’s win to West Brom, they dropped to 10th again, and that’s where they’re predicted to finish.
American polling and predictions site FiveThirtyEight have crunched the numbers, and have given Leeds a 64 percent chance of finishing in the top half – with a 42 percent possibility of them ending up in 10th.
We take it
We knew our first season back up wasn’t going to be a stroll in the park, and that’s how it has panned out.
We’ve been pushed to the limit in a number of our games, but have come out stronger each time.
Staying undefeated at home against the “Big six” with wins against Manchester City and Tottenham shows that we’ve proven just how good a side we are, even though most of our first-team players were part of the side in the Championship as well.
This summer we’re certainly going to strengthen, and have every right to dream big and maybe push for a European finish next season.
Until the Brighton defeat, we were still in the hunt for Europa League football and we should be back next season setting our sights on that.
Finishing in the top half this season would be the cherry on the cake. This season could not have panned out any better and it’s credit to the hard work put in behind the scenes.
Elland Road will be buzzing for the last home game of the season and we cannot wait to enjoy that atmosphere.
