Sunderland ace Alan Browne fires sarcastic dig at Leeds United star after draw on Friday
Alan Browne took a sarcastic swipe at Illan Meslier after the 2-2 draw between Sunderland and Leeds United at the Stadium of Light on Friday (4 October).
Daniel Farke’s side were moments away from three big points in the EFL Championship.

Speaking after the match (via Sky Sports Football on X, 4 October), Sunderland midfielder Browne aimed a sarcastic dig at Meslier.
The 29-year-old said, “The keeper chucked it in the net so fair play to him. Nice assist.”

Mistakes happen to all footballers, and the next time Browne messes up on the pitch, he is unlikely to gain too much sympathy from Meslier or Leeds supporters.
However, this was a horrible mistake, and all the goalkeeper can do now is try and move past it, however difficult that might be,
