Summerville scores sensational first-half hat-trick for Leeds United U23s
Leeds United Under-23s prospect Crysencio Summerville netted a superb first-half hat-trick in the Premier League Cup against Sunderland on Wednesday night.
The Dutch winger, who has made substitute appearances for the Leeds first team this season, combined well with Sam Greenwood and Max Dean to create chance after chance in a scintillating display.
The former two were subbed off at half-time to be rested ahead of a packed January schedule having done their job in the first 45 minutes.

Starting to come of age
The 20-year-old Dutch youth international has threatened to be a rising star for some time and his arrival at Elland Road in 2020 excited Leeds supporters.
The Whites have had to be patient with Summerville as he adapted to a new country and way of living but he is now starting to show his class on the pitch.
His first against Sunderland came under huge pressure in the area but he had the composure to turn on a sixpence and pass the ball into the top right-hand corner to give Leeds the lead.

His second came after good work from Greenwood who chested a long ball down before sliding Summerville in behind the defence.
He composed himself again and calmly slotted the ball beyond the Black Cats’ ‘keeper for his second.
He completed his hat-trick with a left-footed drive into the bottom corner after Sunderland shot-stopper Jacob Cairney saved Dean’s initial effort.
While Under-23 games don’t compare to the Premier League, Summerville’s exceptional 45 minutes is enough to make Leeds fans believe he is due his chance soon.
In other Leeds United news, this whites striker has received high praise from The Athletic’s Phil Hay.
