Stuttgart use stadium ploy to convince Bayern Munich goalkeeper Alexander Nubel to snub Leeds United

German club Stuttgart are using their stadium as a ploy to convince Bayern Munich’s Alexander Nubel to snub Leeds United this summer.

According to Bild [14 July], both clubs are in the hunt to sign the German goalkeeper.

He looks set to leave Bayern this summer and the Bundesliga champions are understood to be keen on including a buyback clause.

Clear of Meslier?

Stuttgart are getting desperate and using their stadium in comparison to Elland Road to convince him to join.

Leeds may not be in the Premier League but they’re a historic club and will be among the favourites to secure promotion.

Illan Meslier’s form has also not been great so it makes sense to look for an upgrade.

The Frenchman has got immense potential and maybe a move away from Elland Road on loan could do him wonders.

Right now, the club need someone who can be there for them in pressure situations and prove to be reliable, which he certainly is not.

It remains to be seen if Nubel can be convinced to move to Elland Road this summer.

In other Leeds United news, the club have been handed a boost to sign a Manchester United player this summer with Erik ten Hag likely to sanction his exit.
