Stuart Dallas shares injury update at Leeds United after two years on sidelines
Stuart Dallas could feature for Leeds United before the end of the season after spending two years out injured.
The 32-year-old fractured his femur in Leeds’ 4-0 Premier League defeat against Manchester City on April 30, 2022, under Jesse Marsch and has required surgery several times in order to repair the damage.
The Northern Irishman has revealed that his aim is to return to action before the culmination of this campaign – a positive boost for Daniel Farke’s promotion-chasing outfit.
“I’m working towards trying to get back for the end of the season. We’re doing everything we can and hopefully I can do that,” Dallas said, as quoted by BBC Radio Leeds journalist Adam Pope.
Stuart Dallas to spur Leeds United back to the Premier League?
Leeds have been superb this season and sit atop the Championship standings ahead of their clash with Watford on March 29 – though Leicester City are level on points and have a game in hand.
However, there is no doubt that the return of a player with Dallas’ quality and versatility would be a boost to the Whites’ chances of securing automatic promotion.
The Northern Ireland international has made 267 appearances across all competitions for Leeds and has famously played both full-back positions, as a winger on either flank and in virtually every midfield role imaginable.

Dallas would most likely be deployed either at full-back or as a part of a central midfield pairing under Farke, supporting Archie Gray, Junior Firpo, Glen Kamara and Ilia Gruev. His experience off the bench could be crucial as Leeds face a run-in in which five of their final seven fixtures are against opponents in the top half of the table.
In other Leeds United news, Farke looks set to be gifted another midfield gem from the academy.
