Stuart Dallas sends two-word message to Gjanni Alioski as ex-Leeds United ace stuns Italy
Stuart Dallas is thrilled for former Leeds United teammate Ezgjan Alioski after North Macedonia won 1-0 against Italy in a World Cup qualifier play-off on Thursday.
Alioski, 29, left Leeds in the summer to join Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli and is now one match away from playing at the World Cup in Qatar after his nation beat European champions Italy in Palermo.
However, North Macedonia will have to beat Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal to actually qualify for World Cup for the first time.

Still, it was a huge achievement for Alioski and his teammates and the ex-Leeds star took to social media to react.
“With this team we can believe the unbelievable, dream the impossible,” said Alioski via his personal Instagram account.
Among the replies was Dallas, who replied saying: “Come on”
Stunning
Wow. Well done, Gjanni. You and your teammates have made the whole of North Macedonia proud and also made us Leeds fans very proud too.
They’ve managed what England couldn’t manage in their biggest game since 1966 – beating Italy.
Roberto Mancini’s side were the overwhelming favourites but this set of North Macedonian players really do not pay attention to the odds, do they?
They played in the European Championships for the first time ever last year and could be playing in the World Cup in Qatar later in 2022.
Yes, Portugal stand in their way. But if they can beat Italy – why can’t they beat Portugal?
It’s still a bit gutting that Alioski left.
While Leeds definitely needed to add to their left-back options in the summer, they didn’t really strengthen by getting rid of Alioski and signing the frustrating Junior Firpo.
Would we take him back?
Yes, absolutely – in a heartbeat.
