Stuart Dallas sends message to Patrick Bamford after latest on Leeds United star

Stuart Dallas has sent a two-word message to Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford after he picked up another award on Saturday.

The Whites striker won the Football Supporters’ Association Goal of the Year award for his strike against Peterborough United in the FA Cup third-round win last season (7 January).

The Elland Road star posted a picture of himself with the award on his personal Instagram account after the 4-0 victory over Oxford United in which he was on the bench.

In a story on Instagram replying to a post from Bamford, the Northern Ireland international congratulated his former teammate, saying “Love it.”

Bamford surely set for Leeds United exit?

The award is a nice moment for Bamford in what has been a very testing season for the former Chelsea man.

The 31-year-old has featured just eight times in the Championship for Daniel Farke’s side this campaign, playing a total of just 102 minutes.

The forward has scored 60 goals in 192 appearances for the Elland Road club but it would seem that his time in Yorkshire is coming to an end.

He has fallen behind Joel Piroe and Mateo Joseph in the pecking order with the Whites this season and could be set for an emotional departure from the club in January.

The Whites have stepped up their interest in Israel striker Dor Turgeman [sport5, 5 December] which could accelerate any efforts to get rid of Bamford.

It would be a shame if Bamford does not see out the season at Elland Road and play a part in a potential promotion but it may be best for all parties.

In other Leeds news, Farke has given an update on Pascal Struijk’s injury.
