Stuart Dallas reacts to what he saw from Leeds United v West Brom

Stuart Dallas was not impressed with the 0-0 draw between Leeds United and West Brom at The Hawthorns on Saturday 17 August.

The retired Elland Road hero was in the Sky Sports studio for the clash at The Hawthorns and called it a “poor” match following the full-time whistle.

Dallas did, however, admit it was a good point for Daniel Farke and Leeds after a horror week which saw them concede six goals in two games.

Sharing on his personal Instagram account after the game, Dallas wrote: “Great experience, poor game, good point.”

Leeds United poor again at West Brom

Farke will be pleased with the point and defensive strength returning, but the action in the final third was very worrying for the Whites.

With Georginio Rutter going to Brighton to complete his medical [Florian Plettenberg], Joel Piroe came in and looked completely out of his depth once again compared.

Four signings are wanted between now and the August 30 deadline though, with two attackers within that, something that is desperately needed [The Athletic].

More creativity is desperately needed and if Leeds can stay as solid at the back as they did on 17 August, the new signings can take care of the rest.

Piroe, Dan James and Mateo Joseph will all be looking over their shoulders if new signings are made, based on the early evidence of this season.

It doesn’t get any easier next up with a trip to Sheffield Wednesday, but a huge win in a Yorkshire derby could set the 2024/25 season alight.
